Job Summary

The Patient Access Supervisor oversees daily patient registration and front-end revenue cycle operations. This role ensures accurate pre-registration, insurance verification, upfront collections, scheduling coordination, and compliance with hospital billing procedures.

You will supervise Patient Access staff, manage department productivity, minimize overtime, coach team members, and ensure excellent patient experience while maintaining compliance and financial performance standards.

This position is fully on-site in Toledo, OH and requires participation in an on-call rotation (days, nights, weekends as needed).

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate patient registration and pre-registration teams

• Monitor daily productivity, wait times, point-of-service collections, and performance metrics

• Manage staff scheduling, time-off requests, and overtime control

• Oversee upfront collection processes and revenue tracking

• Conduct staff training, orientation, audits, and performance coaching

• Ensure compliance with hospital billing, insurance verification, and revenue cycle policies

• Assist Patient Access Manager with daily operations and process improvements

• Serve as a liaison between clinical teams and revenue cycle operations

• Participate in leadership meetings and assigned facility initiatives

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)

• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) (Required)

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field (Preferred)

• 2–3 years of supervisory experience in healthcare, patient access, or business operations (Preferred)

• Knowledge of registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and hospital billing

• Strong leadership, analytical, and Microsoft Office skills
