Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MA II) to join our outpatient clinic in Portland, OR. The Medical Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider to deliver high-quality, patient-centered clinical support. This full-time, day shift position offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

The ideal candidate has hands-on clinical experience, strong patient communication skills, and experience in vital signs, injections, and medication administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation)

• Prepare patients for examination and assist during procedures

• Administer injections and medications per provider order

• Perform medication administration and documentation in EMR

• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)

• Support patient intake, chart preparation, and follow-up care

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and clinic policies

• Maintain clean and safe clinical environment

• Coordinate with providers and nursing staff for patient care

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with clinical training OR

• Completion of Medical Assistant apprenticeship program OR

• Minimum 1 year Medical Assistant experience with clinical skills

• Medical Assistant Certification (Oregon or Washington, as applicable)

• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)

• Minimum 6 months healthcare experience

• Experience with injections, medication administration, and vital signs

Preferred Qualifications

• National Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA)

• 1+ year outpatient or clinic experience

• Experience using EMR/EHR systems
