Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MA II) to join our outpatient clinic in Portland, OR. The Medical Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider to deliver high-quality, patient-centered clinical support. This full-time, day shift position offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.
The ideal candidate has hands-on clinical experience, strong patient communication skills, and experience in vital signs, injections, and medication administration.
Key Responsibilities

Obtain and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation)

Prepare patients for examination and assist during procedures

Administer injections and medications per provider order

Perform medication administration and documentation in EMR
-
Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)

Support patient intake, chart preparation, and follow-up care

Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and clinic policies

Maintain clean and safe clinical environment

Coordinate with providers and nursing staff for patient care
Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with clinical training OR

Completion of Medical Assistant apprenticeship program OR

Minimum 1 year Medical Assistant experience with clinical skills

Medical Assistant Certification (Oregon or Washington, as applicable)

BLS Certification (American Heart Association)

Minimum 6 months healthcare experience

Experience with injections, medication administration, and vital signs
Preferred Qualifications

National Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA)

1+ year outpatient or clinic experience

Experience using EMR/EHR systems
